Andreychyn L. Medical and social reasons of functional and organizational model of preventive care of ocular pathology among children with different social and economic status.

The thesis deals with scientific reasoning and introduction of a modern model for preventing ocular organ pathology among school children with different social and economic status as well as their medical care. The model, offered to provide medical care for school-age children with ocular organ pathology depending on their families' social status and the children place of stay, is based on a new organizational system of population medical care by means of the following: the existing elements of health care system associated with children population ophthalmological care (ophthalmologists of children healthcare institutions, medical staff of secondary educational establishments); the existing components that have been partly replaced due to their functional optimization (introducing a monitor system to control whether children ophthalmologists' recommendations are followed at educational institutions and in families, developing information and methodological materials for parents, teachers and children to help protect and improve ocular organ health); totally new elements ("The School of Children's Healthy Sight", a cross-sectoral approach involving teachers, social services, family whose integration with the earlier existing and functionally improved ones made the model totally new, and thus the main goal of our research was achieved).
