Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the international legal regulation of spent fuel and radioactive waste management. The study carried out a comprehensive legal analysis of the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management 1997 and other international treaties, normative acts of IAEA and European Communities, laws of Ukraine. The practice of Ukraine when concluding the bilateral agreements on this issue, and the status of implementation by Ukraine of its obligations under the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management 1997 have been studied.
