Object: vocational training of future translators at technical university; goal: forming of information culture basics of future translators under the conditions of higher technical educational institution; methods: theoretical, empirical, statistics; novelty: first theoretically developed and scientifically grounded model of development of future translators' information culture under the conditions of higher technical educational institution, which enables organizing of systematic and special-purposed activity of information culture development, ensures the high degree of its integration into the system of future translators' vocational training at higher technical educational institution; the organization and pedagogical conditions of development of future translators' information culture under the conditions of higher technical educational institution were shown; the criteria, markers and levels of its development were defined and substantiated; were improved: the structure of educational and professional programs of the "Philology" branch (bachelor level) training and also the content, organizational types and methods of technical universities students operating with information; the results: the thesis main concept ideas and recommendations, assignments and tests can be used for preparing of methodical support of both required and elective subjects; field of study: theory and methods of professional education.
