Professional orientation of students in the thesis reveals as organized functional system of interconnected components which arise from assigned values of specialization, professionalization and development of personality and lead them to success in teaching and professional activities and professional formation "self-image". A structural-system model of psychological characteristics of student's professional orientation in high school is formulated.It singles out three stages: 1) higher educational establishment entering period and 2) subject of educational and professional activity formation period and 3) professional programmer formation period.
