Shumsky O. Forming the professional foreign language communicative competence of students of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine by means of information technologies

The thesis is dedicated to the problem of forming the professional foreign language communicative competence of students of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine by means of information technologies. The essence and structure of the above-mentioned competence which integrates personal-motivational (motivation for gaining professional foreign language communicative competence, existential and self-regulatory competences), cognitive (linguistic, thesaurus and socio-cultural competences) and activity (professional-communicative, pragmatic and information-technological competences) components as well as criteria and levels of its formedness are defined.The model of forming professional foreign language communicative competence of students-law enforcement officers is elaborated and theoretically grounded; its efficiency is experimentally verified; the psycho-pedagogical conditions of its realization are characterized. Main means of modern information technologies which should be used in the process of foreign language education of students-future law enforcement officers are alalysed and psycho-pedagogical aspects of their application are outlined.
