Shvydkyy O. Global modification of corporative oil-and-gas business structures

The dissertation relates to the theoretical generalization of the processes of global modification of corporative structures in the oil-and-gas business as well as to the justification of methods and types of transnationalization of the energy sector of the economy of Ukraine with consideration for criteria of effectiveness and security in the oil-and-gas business development. The features of the global energy market are disclosed, the segmentation of the market is performed, and processes of transnational structuring are analyzed. The essence and current functions of transnational oil-and-gas corporations are determined, the systematization of transnational oil-and-gas corporations is performed, and the evolution of institutional and economical models is characterized. The emphasis is on the transformation of vertically integrated transnational oil-and-gas corporations and amalgamation and mergers of companies in the global oil-and gas business. The energy market of Ukraine is analyzed in totality, and the structural disproportions in the market development are discovered. The strategies of transnational oil-and-gas corporations relative to the energy industry of Ukraine are identified, the potential for the increase of energy effectiveness is estimated, and the technological and structural actions for improving the governmental and corporative management are justified.
