Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem aimed at researching typologically common and specific speech prosodic features of TV talk shows broadcast in the Ukrainian, Russian and English (British variant) languages. During the designated research based on the material of the Ukrainian, Russian and English languages four groups of TV talk shows were distinguished according to the thematic principle; they are: event-triggered, popular-scientific, moral-ethic and entertaining talk shows. These talks differ from one another in topics, aims, and individual characteristics of the invited guests and experts.
