Essay

This dissertation grounds and experimentally approves an integrated package of measures for pedagogical use to influence and form the artistic and creative skills of students of philological departments; the package has four stages (namely: informative stage, reproductive stage, creative reproductive stage, purely creative stage). The essence of the phenomenon termed «artistic and creative skills» of training philologist students is revealed as to its structure and content. The necessary criteria and indicators have been worked out (mental flexibility, capability to achieve the creative stage, developing the feeling of responsibility, capability of addressing the children with love, the feeling of verbal beauty in a context, capability of analysis and synthesis, creative imagination, capability to generalization). The developmental levels have also been described as to the artistic and creative skills (low, average, fair and high). The problems set here have been studied in practice. The present state of these problems has been studied in the process of forming the artistic and creative skills of the future teacher-philologists. The complex methodology has been worked out and approved within the process of these studies as to the ways and means of developing such artistic and creative skills while training philologists. The notions of «pedagogical creative activity» and «artistic pedagogical creativity» of philologists as teachers have been given a closer definition.
