Essay

The features of transactions UN peacekeeping in Africa in the post-bipolar era was analyzed. The mechanism of UN peacekeeping was considered. Analysis of international legal principles of implementation of peacekeeping operations was done. Highlighted the the role of the UN in that process, described the course of a number of missions in the African region, as well as the classification of transactions UN peacekeeping in Africa. Determined the reasons of failure of implemented operations. It is shown preconditions for successful missions, and suggests steps to improve UN activities in favor of peace.
