Essay

The thesis is devoted to the integrated study of the Polish kinematic phraseology to denote emotions of anger, contempt, fear, surprise, sadness and joy on the material of lexicographical sources and texts extracted from the National Corpus of Polish and the Internet. The mechanisms of phraseologization of the emotions of anger, contempt, fear, surprise, sadness, joy by means of kinematic phraseology are discovered, ways of transition from the kineme (mimic sign and characteristic, gesture, significant body movement) to kinematic phraseological units taking into account the processes of metonymical and metaphorical conceptualization of those emotions by means of phraseological units are elucidated. The study of the nuclear and peripheral structure of the phraseological semantic fields of "anger", "contempt", "fear", "surprise", "sadness", "joy" is carried out 1) taking into account the names of these emotions on the basis of the clarified content of conceptual, lexical and semantic fields; 2) considering the arheseme and additional differential semes in the meaning of the phraseological units, as well as the belonging of these semes to the significative or denotative aspects of the meaning of the phraseological units. The most characteristic features of emotional kinematics of the Polish people to denote emotions by means of kinematic phraseology are found out and it is ascertained what kinematic prototypes most often serve to express one of the six basic emotions - mimic sign and characteristic, gesture or significant bodymovement. The investigation of the functional aspects of the kinematic phraseological units to denote emotions gave a possibility to specify theseme content of the analyzed kinematic phraseological units, phraseological innovations, their functions, recessive and expansive phraseological units.
