The thesis deals with the problem of formation of the process of chronological knowledge of pupils of the fifth-seventh grades at the History lessons. The theoretical and methodological principles have been shown, contemporary state of theory and practice of formation of chronological knowledge of young teenagers at the History lessons has been analysed, conceptual and categorical apparatus of the investigated problem has been improved. It is the first time that the process of formation of chronological knowledge of pupils of the fifth-seventh grades at the History lessons has been investigated. The set of chronological knowledge, that pupils have to master on the level of their application, has been defined. The author's method of formation of chronological knowledge of pupils of the fifth-seventh grades at the History lessons have been developed and experimentally tested.
