Vaniuha L. Ternopil Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after T. Shevchenko Activity in the Context of Social and Cultural Transformations in Ukraine (XX - the Beginning of the XXIth centuries).

Thesis is dedicated to the systematic research of origins and sociocultural activity of Ternopil Regional Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre named after T. Shevchenko as well as theatrical companies, which became the foundation for its establishment during XX - the beginning of the XXI centuries, the times of Polish and German Occupation, Soviet years and under conditions of independent statehood of Ukraine. Peculiarities of sociocultural transformation in the modern Ukraine, state policy in the field of theatrical art, contemporary theatrical and artistic reality, legal basis of the field of theatrical art, social functions of theatre, sociocultural status of artist and theatre, relations "theatre - spectator", "theatre - critique", "theatre - authority", main factors of regionalisation of theatrical life and repertoire policy are covered in the thesis. Identification paradigm of the theatre under study is formed; four models of its identity are offered; the necessity of returning the status "musical-dramatic" to the theatre is proved. The repertoire, itineraries of tours, creative, artistic and administrative staff of the theatre are represented in the supplement.
