This thesis is devoted to examination of development of the emotional intelligence of the future psychologists during their professional education. Not only the main approaches to the understanding the substance of the emotional intelligence and its structure were reviewed during this research, but also we defined the content of the emotional intelligence (EI) as a term and developed its model, based on the structure-interrogative approach. EI can be defined as a special form of an individual emotional experience in the form of individual emotional structures, generated emotional reflection expanse and emotional representations, build in terms of this expanse. Proven, that the EI is a professionally important quality for a practical psychologist. By the results of a pilot study there is a lack of the development of an emotional intelligence of the practical psychologists, which can be a reason for serious difficulties in professional duties. The results of the final experiment have proven that most of the future psychologists' emotional intelligence level is lower than required for successful professional activities; there is a necessity of EI level development for their performance and professional effectiveness to increase. We present the training program for the development of emotional intelligence. The effectiveness of the program is confirmed by the forming experiment results (the quantity of the students with higher level of EI has significantly increased).
