Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the issue of students thinking variability. It has been analyzed how the problem was solved by other researchers. The thesis includes the main researches of thinking variability carried in the preschool and school age. There are no studies of variability development in the learning of future specialists in higher educational institutions based on the training profile. It was specified the concept of variability as the way of thinking in which the person is able to diversify consideration overlooking specific objects, is able to underline, combine, merge and divide their various qualities, able to highlight the various features and options for the production of the particular set of solutions. It was distinguished the indicators of thinking variability: a) productivity; b) flexibility; c) depth. It was defined the methodical basis of the ascertaining experiment that can detect the features of thinking variability while performing tasks on the production of forms; for feature extraction; on the allocation of functions; on the allocation of meanings. As a result of the empirical study it was discovered general trends and peculiarities of students thinking variability at the humanities and technical approach. Experimental work on the formation of students thinking variability performed on the basis of learning a subject "Psychology". Experimental program with students included improving of presentation educational material variability, including variant forms and methods of work in a classroom and self-studying in order to stimulate different ways of working over educational material. In general, the results of approbation of the experimental program formation variability of students' thinking in the study of psychology were positive.
