Essay

The thesis focuses on the creation of the channel diffusers profiling method for centrifugal compressors. Presented method takes into account features of the swirling viscous flow and is applicable for a wide range of initial conditions. Also the loss estimation technique for off-design conditions was created.The numerical and experimental approbation of the method has been performed. It is shown that developed design method could be recommended for industrial application. Experimental data on the flow pattern and losses in the channel diffuser at off-design operating conditions has been obtained.
