Dub Y. Medico-social study of HIV infection of women in terms of reforming health care.

The thesis is devoted to the scientific justification of the model of HIV-infection of women in terms of reforming the system of medical care for the population in Dnepropetrovsk region, as there were observed one of the highest rates of spreading the HIV infection among the other administrative regions of Ukraine on the background of the feminization of the epidemic situation, which is characterized by prevailing number of women among newly registered HIV-infected patients and sexual transmission of HIV, high infection of the risk groups for spreading the HIV infection and infants who were born by HIV-infected mothers. During the study, there were discovered the principal reasons of the high rates of HIV infection in Dnipropetrovsk region. The study has proved the model of prevention of HIV infection of women in terms of reforming the system of medical care for the population that defines organizational and functional technologies of the primary HIV prevention for intersectoral approach, exactly by the participation of Regional State Administration, Department of Health, Education and Science, regional's social service and NGOs by means of use of the modern medical and social technologies with their proven efficacy.
