Object: professional training of social pedagogues in higher education system of Germany. Objective: To identify peculiarities and leading trends of social pedagogues training to work with families in higher education institutions in Germany and to justify ways to introduce progressive ideas of the German experience in the national family-oriented social-pedagogical education. Practical value: trends of German family-oriented social-pedagogical education are singled out; ways to introduce progressive ideas of the German experience in the educational space of Ukraine are justified.
