Mikhno S. Justification of ilmenite electric separation characteristics during beneficiation of titanomagnetite ores.

The thesis deals with solution of the burning scientific and technical task, scientific justification of of ilmenite electric separation characteristics during beneficiation of titanomagnetite ores by means of changing the conditions of particles charging and the dynamics of their movement. The models of particles selective charging and the dynamics of particles movement in the separator were obtained, based on this the optimum characteristics and the technological mode of ilmenite electrostatic separation process was found. It was established that corona discharge gives an opportunity to improve the selective charging of particles of conductors and dielectrics 2-4 times. The idea of the work is implemented in the design of corona-tribo-electrostatic separator, where the charging electrode is made in the shape of a wing. The results of the work are introduced at the following enterprises LLC II "Kolyorovi metaly", LLC "Olyokminskyi rudnyk", the expected economic impact is 29 million UAH / year.
