Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the study of the functioning of the Ukrainian language in educational discourse.Modern linguistics provides different conceptions that elucidate the nature of language and the peculiarities of its functioning. The following approaches to the speech activity analysis of society and personality are distinguished as dominant: sociolinguistic, linguo-cultural, anthropocentric, linguo-pragmatic, linguo-cognitive and communicational. There is a distinct tendency to the complex study of given issue. This thesis thus suggests an integral analysis of the functioning of the Ukrainian language in educational discourse - in normative, linguo-cognitive and pragmatic (that combines the principles of linguopragmatics and communicative linguistics) perspectives.
