The thesis is dedicated to the golden section as a compositional principle of Ukrainian musical culture in the last third of the twentieth century. For the first time in Ukrainian art the systematic comparative analysis of the phenomenon of the golden section in historical and cultural context was workout, the role of the golden section in the composition of music, inspired by fine art was investigated. The transmension concept of music written on stories and genres of art was developed, based on the concept of O. Koblyakov transmension manifestation in music composition. Transmension analysis based on the principle of the golden section, allows to simulate a circuit that generates a mechanism of integration concepts embodied in visual source, and reflects the interaction of assimilation and interaction of the fine arts and music. In the light of the integration of art and music the golden section in composition with works helps to combine spatial and temporal characteristics of these arts and affects the composition features of form and stories fiction. The proposed method of transmension composition analysis is presented as an example of Ukrainian composers works of the last third of the twentieth century - L. Dychko, I. Karabyts, V. Kikta.
