The dissertation work is dedicated to the complex theoretical and methodological research of international and political aspects of the European External Action Service in the framework of deepening of European integration process and EU relations with third countries. The main theoretical approaches to the understanding of concept of diplomacy are summarized. The main factors of influencing of the deepening of European integration on the transformation of the institution of diplomacy in the EU are justified. The nature of the EEAS and the EU Delegations to third countries and international organizations is clarified. The genesis of their formation and development are investigated. The peculiarities of the EEAS functioning at the present stage are disclosed and analyzed. The main problem areas in EEAS activities are considered.
