The thesis is devoted to the study of problem of cadets' foreign language communicative competence formation at higher military educational institutions in the process of professional training. On the basis of analysis of philosophical, psychological, educational and methodological literature we discovered that foreign language communicative competence of cadets - is a complex, integral personal formation that allows them to communicate in the process of foreign professionally-oriented communication as well as to create and manage military and professional discourse. The essence of cadets' foreign language communicative competence is shown at his level of foreign language fluency, social and cultural as well as military and professional knowledge and skills that enable him to adjust speech behavior depending on the situation in a foreign language communication. The following components of foreign language communicative competence as linguistic, communicative, social and cultural, which constitute its structural build, are highlighted. The pedagogical model of formation of cadets' foreign language communicative competence in foreign language learning process, which is based on a systematic and comprehensive approach, was developed. Pedagogical conditions formation of cadets' effective foreign language communicative competence formation were determined and theoretically grounded. This determined that the efficiency of foreign language training in higher military educational institutions is provided by purposeful methodological control, which creates conditions for establishing the educational interaction and cadets' personal self-actualization. The methodical management scheme of foreign language communicative competence formation, where the cadet is a central figure as a subject of educational process and cross-cultural communication, and the teacher - a key figure in the progress of foreign language training, was developed. The determined state of cadets' foreign language training permitted to define the criteria and indicators for evaluating the levels of their foreign language communicative competence. An experimental verification of pedagogical conditions and methods of cadets' foreign language communicative competence formation within the developed educational model effectiveness was performed. These pedagogical experiments confirmed the efficiency of the pedagogical model and the proposed method of formation of cadets' foreign language communicative competence.
