The thesis established as key regulators nitrogen oxide and hydrogen sulfide in protective reactions and cytoprotective mechanisms of esophageal mucosa of rats in experimental hyperglycemia and the role of L-tryptophan and melatonin in preserving the integrity of the mucosal barrier of the esophagus. The results extend the understanding of the role of hyperglycemia in the development non-erosive esophagitis and provide important information about the possibilities of new diagnostic biomarkers capable of signal molecular cellular changes natural resistance of the esophagus.
