Fesenko V. Life and scientific-pedagogical activity of Professor M. O. Valyashko (1871-1955).

Subject of inquiry: the development of chemical and pharmaceutical science and the emergence of pharmaceutical education in Ukraine at the end of XIX - the first half of the twentieth century. The aim of the study is a comprehensive coverage of key aspects of the history of life's journey, scientific, educational and organizational activities of Professor M.O. Valyashko, its contribution to the development of the domestic chemical and pharmaceutical science and the impact on the development of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine at the end of XIX - the first half of the twentieth century . Methods: historical-genetic, historical and comparative, method of historical typology. Theoretical and practical results: in the thesis highlights the complex way of life, scientific, educational and organizational activities of Professor M.O. Valyashko, his contribution to the development of the domestic chemical and pharmaceutical science and influence on the development of higher pharmaceutical education in Ukraine at the end of XIX - the first half of the twentieth century. Scientific novelty: by the fact that for the first time in the country's history of science and technology based on the study of a wide range of sources reconstructed biography of the eminent scientist, one of the founders of the first pharmaceutical institute in Ukraine, a pioneer spectrographic studies in the Russian Empire, Professor of Chemistry and Pharmacy M.O. Valyashko. Degree of implementation: research materials used in teaching the course "History of science and technology" for the students NTU "KhPI" departments: integrated technologies and chemical engineering, technology of organic substances.
