The conceptual principles of structural and functional organization of social identity of an older adolescent in a distant family have been studied in this dissertation. Empirical verification of the social identity psychological content in older adolescents from intact and distant families has been conducted and functional structure considering the belonging of the subject of family interaction to social groups and analysis of the peculiarities of subjective perception of significant adults has been specified. The scientific understanding of peculiarities of the social identity of an adolescent in a distant family has been strengthened.
