Object of study - the spiritual values of the individual. Subject of research - the motivation of creating a marriage in the context of spiritual values of the individual.To solve the problem, we used a range of methods of research: theoretical - historical, systematic and structural and comparative analysis of comparable domestic and foreign scientific literature to substantiate the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of spiritual values as the motive of the person creating the family, which allowed us to determine and characterize the current state of research; empirical - conversation, questioning, testing, contributing to the study of places of spiritual values in motivating the creation of marriage; statistics - correlation analysis, regression and discriminant analysis whose aim was the implementation of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results of empirical work; interpretation - analysis, synthesis and interpretation of the data. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time: extend the theory of choice of marriage partner and classified list of motives of the marriage; the place of spiritual values in the hierarchy of values that are associated with the motivation of a family; the theoretical model of the influence of personal maturity on spiritual value orientation and motivation of creating the marriage; the concept of the spiritual values of the individual; originality of spiritual values in marriage motivation; further developed theoretical ideas about the spiritual values of the individual in creating marriage motivation and methodical support of their empirical research. The practical significance of the study is to develop a psycho-diagnostic tools to identify the spiritual values of the individual and their place in the marriage motivation. Materials of the research can be used in the practical psychologists counseling system as pre-marital and family counseling. Diagnostic tools can be useful for employees of marriage agencies and departments of civil status records.Scope institutions of higher education, psychological services.
