In the thesis the problem of formation of intercultural communicative skills in pedagogical theory and practice is considered; the key scientific approaches to the solution of the researched problem are identified; the analysis of categorical and conceptual apparatus is performed. It has been revealed that the formation of intercultural communicative skills is based on an active, conscious and purposeful practical usage of the cultural experience of the individual and society, presented by the knowledge and skills acquired in the process of professional preparation of future specialists, including training. Within the study of the problem of formation of intercultural communicative skills of the students in the process of studying the Humanities, the functions of this process in the institutions of higher education have been defined, namely: cognitive, communicative, diagnostic, predictive, normative, emotional, motivational and educational. It has been proved that the implementation of these functions defines the content of intercultural interaction as a specific type of communication that is carried out on three levels: informational, interactive, perceptive. The criteria, data and levels of the development of intercultural communicative skills of students of non-linguistic faculties in higher pedagogical educational institutions have been clarified. The methods of formation of the intercultural communicative skills of the students in the process of studying the Humanities were developed and experimentally verified and the implementation results of the developed methods were analyzed.
