Podgaietskyi O. The formation and activity of leading centers of computer technology in Ukraine in the late 40's - early 90's of the XX century

Object of study: Evolution of the emergence and development of computer technologies in the World. Purpose of the study: Historical-scientific analysis of the computer technologies evolution and a contribution of scientific institutions and industrial companies to the development of the computer technique and informatics in Ukraine at the end of 40th - beginning of 90th of XX century. Study methods: Problem-chronological, comparative-historical, dialectical, synchronous, method of periodization, critical-objective analysis of the sources and statistical material. Theoretical and practical results: The materials of the dissertation are used in the teaching of the disciplines: "The history of science and technology" and "Introduction to the speciality" of the Automation and Instrument Making Department of NTU "KhPI". Novelty: For the first time circumstantially the investigation of the process of formation and activities of the leading domestic centers of the computer technics manufacturing was made on the base of an introduction to the scientific revolution of the archive documents and the other scientific sources; The periodization of the emergence and development of the computer technics was proposed and the characteristic of its milestones was given; The clarifications and additions of the facts of achievements of institutes and scientific institutions to the computer technics manufacturing in Ukraine at the end of 40th - beginning of 90th were carried out; The developments of domestic scientists and implementation of there projects to the production was analyzed, the reasons of lagging of Ukraine from the world level of the computer technics development were identified; The question of scientific and engineering personnel training for the computer branch at the stage of scientific and technological revolution was for the first time circumstantially illuminated.
