Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of formation of professional readiness of future fire safety specialists to prevention work. The analysis of the present and professional training to fire-prevention activities is done. Such categories as "fire prevention", "professional readiness to fire-prevention work" are grounded. The works devoted to the formation of professional competence were studied, which resulted in the identification of components of fire-preventive competence. The model and original method of formation of professional readiness to prevention work is developed. Their efficiency and effectiveness is confirmed by the pedagogical experiment.
