Essay

Anisimov, V.V. Hydrodynamic cavitators for the intensification of homogenization processes in liquid media. - Manuscript. Dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences, specialty 05.17.08 -Processes and Equipment of Chemical Technology - State Higher Educational Institution "Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology", the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2014 The dissertation is devoted to the development and research of cavitation nozzles to intensify some processes of chemical technology (fine emulsification, dispersion, acceleration of chemical reactions). An analytical review of information on the phenomenon of cavitation and the modern cavitation equipment has shown that an urgent task is to identify the most effective designs of cavitation devices for their subsequent use for the intensification of chemical technology processes. The shape and intensity of the cavitation field at the outlet of the nozzle and the influence of nozzle geometrical parameters on the intensity of cavitation have been studied and a number of their most effective relationships have been received. New designs of cavitation nozzles with an expansion chamber have been suggested and investigated . The results of the above studies have been used to intensify the processes of oil I-40 emulsification in water, soybean meal dispersion in water and the reaction of alcoholysis of fatty acid esters. Keywords: cavitation, cavitation nozzle, length, opening angle, Venturi nozzle, expansion chamber, emulsification, dispersion, alcoholysis.
