Essay

Object of study: the processes of EU energy policy development. Aim: deepening the theoretical and methodical grounds of the EU energy policy study and determining its development peculiarities under modern conditions, as far as working out scientific and practical recommendations to improve the energy policy of Ukraine and the mechanisms of energy cooperation with the EU. Methods: dialectical method; systematic approach; method of abstraction; analogy, induction and deduction; methods of generalization, analysis and synthesis; statistical methods; economic and mathematical analysis; institutional and comparative, systemic and structural analysis. Scientific novelty: scientific approach to assess the subject composition of the EU energy policy structure is offered; theoretical and methodical approaches to determining the peculiarities of the EU energy policy are improved; integrated scientific and methodical approach to assess the state and determinants of EU and the world energy complexes is developed; dual nature of the EU CEP is grounded; neofunctionalist theory postulate towards deepening and extending the integration process based on the "spill-over" effect is developed; conceptual ways to increase the efficiency of the Ukraine energy policy are worked out. The research results are implemented in practical activities of Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce; Donetsk Regional Council; PJSC "Azovobschemash"; "Industrial Group "Ukrenergoservis" Ltd.; in the educational process of the Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after Mykhailo Tugan-Baranovsky. Sphere of usage: interdisciplinary.
