Essay

The thesis focuses on theoretical and methodological basis of mechanism of TNCs' impact on the economic growth of developing countries. The key role of TNCs as an element of driving forces of the global economic development is revealed. The thesis points out the diversity of disposition of developing countries in the global economy. The complex analysis of global forms of transnationalization process in the spheres of production, distribution, exchange and consumption is conducted through the lenses of public reproduction theory. The author proves that the actual level of transnationalization of developing countries depends on the degree of inclusion of different phases of national public reproduction in this process. The thesis clearly demonstrates that in spite of gradual expansion of international activity of Ukrainian business groups, they are still too far from the transnational corporation status. The thesis produces abundant evidence that the intensification of regional and global transnationalization urgently requires effective restructuring of Ukrainian enterprises into high-end financial and industrial groups in order to meet the requirements of international companies, especially concerning foreign economic activity and international competitiveness.
