The thesis is a fundamental historical and scientific research of foundation preconditions and scientific and organization activity of varietal and seed management of Sugar Trust and subordinate network of research institutions. The results of analisys .of historiography and archival material were highlighted the factors that led to the creation of the coordinating institution of breeding and seed crops for scientific support of the sugar industry, structure, tasks and directions of scientific researches of Management , the contribution of individual scientists in the development of national agricultural research, the results of activity of the main departments of VSM breeding research stations. Received generalizations made it possible to work out periodization of scientific and organizational activity of Sugar Trust
