Object - theoretical training on different stages of sportsmen long-term development; goal - to increase structure and content of theoretical training on the stage of previous basic development in fencing; methods: theoretical analysis and synthesis, method of expert assessment pedagogical observation, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: substantiated scientific statements of concerning the formation of the theoretical training of fencers on the stage of previous basic development in fencing using algorithmic educational game means; scientific expediency of modifying the structure of theoretical training of fencers on the stage of previous basic development using information block "Olympism"; the expediency of complex theoretical training during the stage of previous basic development; determined priority of substantial component of information blocks of theoretical training of fencers on the stage of previous basic development; the results: designed and experimentally verified the effectiveness of the author's program of theoretical training of fencers on the stage of previous basic development using algorithmic educational game means with modified information blocks; dissertation research results incorporated into the training process of fencing club "Troyanda" (Lviv), in educational process of students in Lviv State University of Physical Culture; industry - physical education and sport.
