Essay

The comprehensive analysis of the legal foundations of the establishment and development of the European External Action Service (EEAS) is the main aim of the very thesis. Meanwhile the contribution also covers the evolution of the EU's legal and political model of external action through its three main stages: the coordination period (since Rome Treaties 1957 till the Maastricht Treaty 1992); the pillar system period (the Maastricht Treaty 1992 till the Treaty of Lisbon 2007); the consolidation period (since the Treaty of Lisbon 2007 till now).
