Essay

The thesis is devoted to the complex research of the youth sociolect linguistic means variety that is manifested on different levels. The study conducted on the material of the Ukrainian and English youth speech proves the youth sociolect to be a relatively stable semi-autonomous existence form of the national language, serving youth society which has its specific lexical system and the inventory of grammatical and phonetic peculiarities caused by sociolinguistic features of the sociolect speakers and youth communication sociolinguistic parameters (informal interaction, providing freedom of communication, based on solidarity terms of equality, not constrained by formality boundaries) that vary in quality and quantity.
