Onishenko Y. Optimization of diagnostics and treatment of infertility in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

Thesis contains theoretical generalization and new solution of improvement of infertility diagnosis and treatment efficiency in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) based on endocrine status, genetic features and pathomorphological state of the endometrium. The most informative criteria for endocrine-metabolic disorders in patients with PCOS were determined. Role of functional polymorphisms T397S ESRA gene; G1730A ESRB gene and PROGINS of PGR gene in the determination of PCOS was studied. Also the basis pathomorphological changes in the endometrium of infertile patients with PCOS were studied. It is shown that the use of proposed algorithm can improve the effectiveness of treatment of infertility associated with PCOS: frequency of the restoration of biphasic ovulatory menstrual cycles increased by 23.89% (p = 0.04; Х2 = 8.392), restoration of fertility by 11.46% (p = 0.05; Х2 = 3.86).
