Andrushko Y. Features modeling psychological defenses in professional activities of police officers.

This research focuses on modeling features of psychological defenses in the profession of a law enforcement worker. The main approaches to understanding the concepts of "psychological defense" and "modeling psychological defenses" are considered. The genesis of psychological defenses of law enforcement workers in the process of their professionalization is cleared up. The range of psychological defenses in domestic and foreign scientific thought is characterized. As a result of forming experiment seven types of personalities of law enforcement workers according to such indicators as the level and status of professional identity, the dominant communicative protection strategy, the law enforcement workers' use of primary and secondary as well as adaptive and non-adaptive defenses and also their personal and characterological components are identified. A comprehensive program to optimize the use of psychological defenses in the professional activity of law enforcement workers is developed and implemented. .
