Essay

The dissertation provides theoretical justification of criteria for playing role determination basing on volleyball player psychophysiological characteristics. Particular attention is given to determination of psychophysiological differences between players of different roles and between men and women who play volleyball. Established are the differences between neurodynamic, cognitive characteristics, state of vegetative nervous system and cognitive-action styles, which define psychic and emotional states of sportsmen. Structure of relationship between psychophysiological state and playing role is determined. Regression models, based on psychophysiological characteristics of different volleyball player's roles and computer program for determination of volleyball playing role, have been developed.
