The dissertation presents the history of knowledge about the building and its long-term training periods, described the current system of knowledge in this area, it shows the discrepancy advanced sports practice in recent years. Characteristic for the strongest swimmers age limits determine the structure and content of the training process: start swimming, achieving initial success and the highest athletic performance, duration of performances, including at the highest achievements.
