Thesis research is devoted to the complex analysis of preconditions, reasons, sequence and consequences of the reformation of contents, forms and methods of the vocational training of mentally retarded students in Ukraine (2nd part of ХХ century). The connections between state strategies of Ukrainian social-economic development and social order for arrangement of mentally retarded students to labor, the influence of educational paradigms at the functioning of system of labor arrangement of students. We learned the contribution of Ukrainian educators into the development and realization of didactic functions of labor, which are interrelated and realized in the dialectic unity.
