Luzanova G. Legal and psychological principles of appointing and conducting forensic psychological examinations in criminal proceedings

A theoretical analysis and generalization of the problem of employing special psychological knowledge in criminal proceedings provided the basis for development of theoretical principles and produced research-based practical recommendations for appointing and conducting forensic psychological examinations and expert studies in criminal proceedings. Author's definition of the forensic psychological examination was provided and its main features, types and competences were highlighted. The author has developed methodological recommendations and instructions for appointing and conducting forensic psychological examinations and expert studies as an ancillary instrument, a certain algorithm of action to determine correct qualification of a criminal offense and its subjective side.
