Golovachova O. Regulatory policy in the area of foreign trade in agricultural products

Work is devoted to theoretical and methodological foundations of regulatory policy in the sphere of foreign trade in agricultural products. The essence of the definition "regulatory policy in the area of foreign trade in agricultural products" that take into account the impact of two major external factors: conditions in the world food market and demands of international treaties and agreements in the field of international trade in agricultural products is determined. The system of determinants of regulatory policy in the area of foreign trade in agri-food products is justified. The comparative advantages of agricultural products are identified, which allow to combine relative trade advantages and identified comparative advantages, and to provide the determination of the concentration and geographical localization of trade flows. The comparative analysis of foreign trade in agricultural products regulation systems in different countries is made. The measures of state support in agriculture are estimated. Based on the assessment of the impact sensitivity of exports to the competitiveness index the matrix of agricultural products export flows to foreign markets of 33 countries was constructed, which allowed to identify strategic geographical priorities of foreign trade in agricultural products and enhanced the validity of the proposed set of implemented measures of regulatory policy in foreign trade, aimed at improving the quality competitiveness of domestic products.
