Thesis is devoted to researching the matters of forming the information competence of future radiotricians in the process of professional preparation in a technical university. The study conducted has resulted in theoretically proved and experimentally tested organizationally-pedagogical terms of forming the information competence of future radiotricians in the process of learning the disciplines of computer cycle. During the researching the judicially-functional model of forming the information competence of future radiotricians was worked out, the result of which is forming the information competence of future radiotricians in the process of professional preparation in a technical university. Defined notions: "information competence of a radiotrician", "infomedia", "information competence" and "information culture".
