Essay

Conducts complex analysis of agricultural motifs within the system of calendar ritualism of Ukrainians of the South-Western Historic-Ethnographic Macro-region. Object of research is ritual calendar as a component the folk culture Ukrainian. For the first time agricultural motifs have been considered as one of the essential themes in all cycles of the Ukrainian folk calendar; proved theoretical generalizations about regional and the ethnic features of agricultural motifs in the national calendar system; established the historical sources agricultural rituals in Ukrainian.
