Dissertation devoted to complex research of scientific activity of Ukrainian scientist - geneticist and breeder, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of USSR - V.P. Zosymovych. On the basis of available sources and historiography was made the first systematic analysis of the integral life and scientific achievements of the scientist. During the in-depth historical and analytical research was worked up periodisation of scientist's creative way, explored the main stages and factors of his personality and scientific outlook, analyzed scientific researches and singled main achievements, researched scientific heritage of the scientist. Systematized and put to scientific use his first little known scientific works.
