Bodnaruk O. Formation of basic psychological concepts of universities' students.

The thesis is devoted to the problem of forming the system of basic psychological concepts of universities'students. The basic characteristics and views on the nature of the problem of learning of psychology by the students prevailing today in the domestic and foreign psychology. The basic approaches to the study of the formation of the system of basic psychological concepts are showed in the thesis. A theoretical model of formation of psychological concepts, which contains a set of basic concepts and levels of learning of basic psychological concepts in the process of training is in the thesis. Also we learned the features of completing educational psychology textbooks, complicating mastering basic psychological concepts. An empirical study we also analyzed the relationship of individual psychological characteristics of students, students' internal motivation to study of psychology and levels of learning the psychological concepts. We developed the program of improvement of the formation of the system of basic psychological concepts by the students, which is based on: a) the formation of students' internal motivation for learning psychology (needed for professional work and for life in general); b) the presentation of educational material in the course of general psychology by inductive logic in the following order: cognitive processes; emotional and volitional processes; mental states; mental properties; integrative phenomenon; c) a combination of classes with students' independent work on mastering basic psychological concepts based on individual metacognitive strategies.
