Aivazian L. The peculiarities of loneliness as general psychology phenomenon.

The dissertation is dedicated to the problem of the peculiarities of loneliness. The paper contains the theoretical substantiation, methodical principles and the results of the empirical research of this problem. In the research is revealed the essence of loneliness that is in deployment of loneliness on the three levels of human being: individual, personality and individuality. The peculiarities of loneliness are defined in the proportion of personal and group identifications. The factors and correlates of loneliness are detected, namely level of satisfaction of communication need, level of satisfaction of self-expression need, mechanisms of psychological defense. The concept of "peculiarities of loneliness as general psychology phenomenon" is operationalized. The psychological model which includes peculiarities, factors, correlates of the varieties of loneliness is created. In the dissertation is discovered and depicted the nature of loneliness that is in existence of three varieties of loneliness, namely deficitary, non-differential and productive loneliness. Deficitary variety of loneliness is caused by lack of communication and domination of group identifications. Productive variety is defined by reflection and domination of personal identifications. Non-differential variety is intermediate one and is defined by equal proportion of group and personal identifications.
