Essay

Theoretical-methodological analysis of the human activity in difficult conditions research state problem in psychological science has been carried out. Individual-psychological characteristics of the residents’ life in dangerous climatic and geographical or geophysical regions have been identified. During the empirical study of the impact of climatic and physical stress factors of the natural environment on the personality adaptation potential with the help of differential-psychological analysis the individual-psychological characteristics of residents in climatic-geographical or geophysical dangerous territories of Ukraine have been defined, that actualize their psychological capacities and adaptation mechanisms, and gender differences in the reaction to natural hazards threats of different sex representatives for life activities facing these threats. It has been determined that the individual-psychological characteristics of personality create its adaptive capacity to overcome the severe life conditions caused by natural hazards threats. Insufficiency of this potential development increases the personality disadaptation probability in the conditions of climatic and physical stress factors of the natural environment.
