Essay

The present work is devoted to the elaboration of methods of synthesis, investigation of reactivity and transformation pathways of N-phosphanylated triazolium salts, triazol-5-ylidenes and C-phosphanylated triazoles. Novel stable N-phosphanylated triazol-5-ylidenes were prepared by deprotona¬tion of the synthesized N-phosphanyl-functionalized triazolium salts. It was established that the most plausible mechanism for the rearrangment of isolated carbenes is intramolecular one, via a three-center transition state structure.
